At the time of application, \u00d6GMM membership is not mandatory, but the prize winner must become a member of the \u00d6GMM until the prize is awarded. The case submitted does not have to have been published in a peer-reviewed journal, but may have already been published (the applicant is the first or last author). Der eingereichte Fall muss nicht, kann jedoch bereits in einem peer-reviewed Journal publiziert worden sein (der\/die Bewerber:in ist Erst- oder Letztautor:in).
